What is your admissions process?

We take great pride in the caliber and skills of our graduates. To ensure that students are adequately prepared for the rigor of our curriculum, we have a propriety and competitive screening process that assesses the technical, language, mindset and communication skills of all applicants. Applicants are required to complete a take-home skills assessments and interview with our Admissions team to evaluate their communication and motivation. This process helps us ensure that all admitted students have the aptitude, background knowledge, and motivation to succeed in our bootcamp programs.

Do I have to hire the candidates I interview?

You are not required to provide a job offer after interviewing candidates from Re:Coded alumni. If the interviewed candidates don’t make it to the job offer level, you are kindly requested to send them an email clarifying that they haven’t been selected.

What does your Placements process look like?

After you submit a request with what you’re looking for, someone from our team will reach out to you. We’ll learn more about your business and hiring needs, and then send you the profiles of students we think best match that. Interview them as you normally would and let us know what you think!

What is the Re:Coded experience like?

Re:Coded provides rigorous 500+ hour programs in UX/UI Design and Software Engineering. Our programs typically take students between four and six months to complete and are built on three pillars: technical mastery, professional skills and industry fluency. Students work through course materials asyncronously, completing project based assessments and attend three live sessions per week with our education team. The majority of our coursework is project-based, enabling students to demonstrate their mastery of subjects in their portfolio. Each course is completed with a Capstone Project that showcases their skills in a real-world application. Soft and career skills are also embedded throughout the bootcamp to ensure that students are ready to work upon graduation.

Before graduation, students are expected to complete our two week career accelerator which includes 1:1 coaching, mock interviews with industry professionals and portfolio reviews. Our curriculum, alongside the mentorship students get, ensures that our graduates are ready to hit the ground running when they join your company.

Do students receive any certifications upon completion of the bootcamp?

Yes - if a student successfully completes all learning and career acceleration requirements for a bootcamp, they receive a certification of graduation from Re:Coded. Learn more about our programs right here.

Do you charge anything during the hiring process?

No, as a nonprofit organization we don’t charge anything for matchmaking and facilitating the interviewing process. Today students are working for startups, SMEs and global corporations (including many Fortune 500 companies. Our goal is to increase access to economic and social mobility for our students so our matchmaking and placement services are free.
