Even with all the right qualifications, landing a job is difficult. Job searching is a skill itself and in our 3 week online course you will learn effective strategies like how to create a digital presence, how to network effectively, and how to ace your job interview.

Our Selection Criteria

Master Your Job Search is ideal if you want to optimize your chances of landing a job or figure out your next career move in the digital design & tech industry. Admission is free and open to all who fit our selection criteria. Next class will kick off in March 2022.

You

Youth and young adults residing in Iraq, Lebanon or Jordan aged between 18-35. We aim for gender diversity in all our programs.

Criteria

Ideal for anyone with enough skills to kick off a career in digital design & tech and looking for work. Intermediate English level required.

Commitment

Ready to invest 20 hours of your time in 3 weeks of self paced online learning and participate in up to 5 hours of live online events and class activities (optional).

Course Content

Chapter 1: Develop a Career Mindset

Learn to create a plan and maintain a growth-oriented attitude toward your career planning through our Career Compass and by setting Career Goals.

Chapter 2: Create a Personal Brand

Develop the first draft of your personal brand with a recruiter-friendly LinkedIn Profile. You will learn to define and create your ‘personal brand’ that will help you stand out.

Chapter 3: Effective Networking

Invest in relationships to build a lasting, sustainable career through effective networking. In this chapter you’ll set your networking goals, prepare your pitch and learn how to conduct an informal interview.

Chapter 4: Ace a Job Interview

Understand how to prepare for and navigate the standard job interview. You’ll learn the STAR Method for highlighting your skills and how to present your projects in the technical interviews.

How Will I Learn?

This course is self paced but will have access to your class community via Slack. Quizzes and small projects will help you understand key concepts and apply your knowledge in real-life situations.

Community Activities

You will be onboarding with the rest of the class on January 10, 2022 and throughout the course you will get a chance to interact with your classmates online and participate in career related events.
