Re:Coded and TravelPerk have come together with a meaningful partnership in professional tech upskilling
Re:Coded’s bootcamp students from Iraq and Jordan had the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge through a mentoring event with TravelPerk’s global team.
The session included a diverse mix of participants (66 students from Iraq and 27 students from Jordan), with a significant female and refugee representation; 48.5% women from Iraq and 29.6% refugees from Jordan. They all gained critical insights that have prepared them better for careers in the tech world.
The feedback from these sessions has been overwhelmingly positive, showing a real boost in confidence among the students when it comes to solving tech problems and handling job interviews. This shows just how effective the mentorship has been.
Feedback from participants:
"This mentorship really cleared the path for my tech career and got rid of my interview jitters," one student said.
"The event was a game-changer; it really boosted our confidence. Thanks for putting it together," another added.
Kudos to TravelPerk for sharing their know-how and giving our students a leg up.
TravelPerk to work with Re:Coded on its inaugural UK bootcamp cohort initiative
This partnership makes use of TravelPerk’s talent and willingness to give back to the community. Re:Coded's inaugural UK cohort will have the opportunity to work alongside TravelPerk’s product design team during a day long Hackathon in London.
Hackathon at Travel Perk’s London office
TravelPerk and Re:Coded have organized a hackathon where UX/UI design students from refugee and underserved backgrounds in the UK will partner with the TravelPerk design team.
Together, they will work on real-world problems and design solutions to create a more seamless business travel experience for TravelPerk customers.
The hackathon isn't just a classroom project; it will be a real-life challenge where students can directly contribute to a leading travel software company.
